Pax9tm1.1(cre)Sbam - Skeletal System
Recombinase Activity Detail
Allele Information
Allele:
Pax9tm1.1(cre)Sbam
paired box 9; targeted mutation 1.1, Simon Bamforth
Driver: Pax9
Type: Targeted (Null/knockout, Recombinase)
Synonym: Pax9Cre
Molecular description: The targeting construct was designed to replace a 1.06 kb section of the mouse Pax9 gene, spanning the second half of exon two, containing the start codon, and the first half of the 3rd exon, containing the paired box and octapeptide motif, with a promoterless Cre recombinase gene preceded by a consensus Kozak sequence and the FRT-flanked PGK-Neomycin cassette. After homologous recombination in ES cells, the FRT-flanked PGK-neomycin cassette was removed by crossing the derived mice with FLPe mice.
