Tg(Prrx1-mTFP1,-cre/ERT2)1Etnka - Integumental System
Recombinase Activity Detail
Allele Information
Allele:
Tg(Prrx1-mTFP1,-cre/ERT2)1Etnka
transgene insertion 1, Elly M Tanaka
Driver: Prrx1
Type: Transgenic (Inducible, Recombinase, Reporter)
Inducer: tamoxifen
Synonym: Prrx1 enhancer-CreER-T2A-mTFPnls, Prrx1enh-CreER
Molecular description: A transgene consists of the 2.4 kb mouse Prrx1 enhancer followed by the b-globin intron and nuclear-localized teal fluorescent protein-1 (mTFP1-nls), a T2A self-cleaving peptide, and CreERT2. Six founder animals were generated and a single line with the ability to induce the recombination of LoxP reporter lines only after administration of tamoxifen was established and used for the studies.
