Nullizygous mice exhibit seizures and deficits in ejaculation, fear response and conditioned taste aversion. Homozygotes for a knock-in allele show impaired spatial working memory and higher susceptibility to pentylenetetrazol. Homozygotes for a reporter allele show impaired coordination and higher susceptibility to metrazol.
