Mice homozygous for a knock-out allele are exhibit male infertility associated with small testes. severe defects in sperm morphology and motility, cytoplasmic invagination failure and axonemal microtubule collapse during spermiogenesis, and ectopic localization of the sperm fibrous sheath and outer dense fibers.
