Homozygous inactivation of this gene causes arrest of spermatogenesis, male sterility, glaucoma, and cataracts. Aging mice homozygous for an ENU-induced (null) allele show additional ocular phenotypes including an enlarged anterior chamber, lens extrusion, a flat iris, uveitis, and optic neuropathy.
