Homozygous null mice show complete embryonic lethality during organogenesis. Heterozygous null mice exhibit reduced female fertility, develop lymphoid hyperplasia as they age, and show increased susceptibility to non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and increased liver damage and tumorigenesis in the DEN model of hepatocellular carcinoma.
