Notes

Grid2^ho-cpr, creeper, recessive. The creeper allele was found in the B10.D2 strain at Duke University. In behavior and fertility, creepers are similar to hot foot mice. On the B10.D2 background, they can be identified at 14 to 25 days of age; on an outbred background, the onset of symptoms is later. Survival to weaning is poor, but life span is normal in those that survive weaning (J:13944). Grid2^ho-cpr/Grid2^ho-4J males may breed (J:14084).
