Notes

A yeast artificial chromosome (YAC) 150 kb long that spans the Col1a1 gene has been introduced into fibroblasts carrying the Col1a1^Mov13 mutation. The YAC complements the mutant gene, conferring normal collagen RNA expression (J:722). It can also be introduced transgenically into the germ line (J:4495).
