Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsDeletion of a genomic fragment containing exon 2 and an insertion of a neomycin gene into exon 4. Northern blot analysis demonstrated that small amounts of a mutant transcript could be detected in thymocyte and lymph node RNA derived from homozygous mice. Metabolic labeling and immunoprecipitation studies also confirmed that the protein was not detectable in thymocytes from homozygous mice. (J:72520)
