Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA neomycin selection cassette was inserted into exon 2, 5' to the sequences encoding the basic region and adjacent to the sequences encoding the transactivation domain. Northern blot analysis on RNA derived from serum-starved, stimulated embryonic fibroblasts derived from homozygous mice demonstrated that no detectable transcript is produced from this allele. Western blot analysis on these same cells confirmed that no detectable protein is encoded by this allele. (J:34461)
