Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:46927
Parent Cell Line:  TL1/TL-1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S6/SvEvTac
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsAn 8 kb genomic fragment containing exons 4-6 was replaced with a neomycin selection cassette. In situ hybridization experiments on spermatids in testes of homozygous male mice demonstrated that an aberrant transcript is produced from this allele, but no functional protein is predicted to be produced from this allele since the majority of the coding sequences were deleted.
