Notes |
Allele produced after treating males with both triethylenemelamine (TEM) and a single dose of gamma-irradiation. Males were crossed to wild-type females and progeny were screened for GPI activity.
Heterozygotes are viable, fertile, and phenotypically normal except that they produce only 50% of normal GPI activity. Homozygous embryos die at an early stage of development, presumably due to blockage of glycolysis (J:3054). |
