origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:57590
Parent Cell Line:  J1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S4/SvJae
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA neomycin resistance cassette replaced a genomic fragment containing exon 2. Northern blot analysis demonstrated that the transcript was not detectable in total RNA derived from skeletal muscle of homozygous mice, and western blot analysis confirmed that the protein was not detectable in microsomal preparations of skeletal muscle of homozygous mice.
