Mapping and Phenotype information for this QTL, its variants and associated markers

J:52042

Changes in locomotor activity due to ethanol was analysed in BXD RI stains and in 900 F2 (C57BL/6J x DBA/2J) intercross mice. The RI data provided a suggestive association of the locomotor response with markers on various chromosomes including mouse Chromosome 2. The mouse Chromosome 2 location was verified in the F2 cross and reached a level of significance when combined with the RI data. The activity QTL (Etohr) on mouse chromosome 2 had a peak LOD of 5.3 with an approximate cM position of 48 and was associated with markers D2Mit94 and D2Mit420.
