In a genome wide scan of 925 (C57BL/6J x DBA/2J)F2 mice an ethonal-induced activation Quatatative Trait Locus(QTL) was associated with a region on mouse Chromosome 2. A LOD score of 8.4 was found at cM 52 and was associated with marker D2Mit94. The 1-LOD support interval spans 17 cM. This locus accounts for 11.4% of the phenotypic variance. Suggestive QTLs were also found at D1Mit22, D5Mit371, and D6Mit371.
