The inbred mouse strain LT/Sv expresses a high incidence of spontaneous ovarian tumors. A genome wide scan using markers that were polymorphic between LT/Sv and C57BL/6J were informative in quantitatively mapping the tumor susceptible phenotype in (LT/Svx C57BL/6J)F2 mice to a region of mouse Chromosome 6. The maximum LOD score (8.4) defining this region is flanked by markers D6Mit188 and D6Mit36.
