The segregation of genes that may contribute to the susceptibility of experimental allergic encephalomyelitis in mice was analyzed in (ABH x NOD)F1 x NOD backcross mice. In a genome wide scan including all autosomes and the X-Chromosome a total of 100 microsatellites were examined.

Significant association of Eae4 with mouse Chromosome 7 was indicated and included a region defined by the proximal locus D7Nds6 and the distal locus D7Mit14.
