Quantitative trait locus analysis (QTL) was used to determine that a locus on mouse Chromosome 8 was associated with liver tumor development in the F2 generation in male A/J x C3H/He mice. There were 174 informative meioses. This locus designated Hsc2 shows a significant association with D8Mit14.
