C10bw4 exhibits additive inheritance.
Mapping and Phenotype information for this QTL, its variants and associated markersJ:64750A total of 387 male and female mice used in a genome wide scan for Body Weight QTLs and were derived from (C57BL/6J x M.m. castaneus) F1 females backcrossed to M.m. castaneus. M.m. castaneus have body weight QTLs that are 60% lower then C57BL/6J mice at10 weeks of age. Seven sex specific QTLs were mapped to mouse chromosomes. C10Bw1 mapped to mouse Chromosome 2 near D2Mit7 (LOD 10.7). C10Bw2 a female specific QTL mapped to chromosome 9 near D9Mit2 (LOD 3.6). C10Bw3 a male specific QTL mapped to chromosome11 near D11Mit67 (LOD 3.4). C10Bw4 a female specific QTL mapped to chromosome 13 near D13Mit26 (LOD 3.3). C10Bw5 a male specific QTL also mapped to chromosome 13 near D13Mit195 (LOD 3.7). C10Bw6 a female specific QTL mapped to the X chromosome near DXMit75 (LOD 4.3). C10Bw7 a male specific QTL mapped to Chromosome 12 near D12Mit4, but did not have a main effect and therefore was epistatic. |
