Mapping and Phenotype information for this QTL, its variants and associated markers

J:53794

Nineteen measures of sensorial, motor and body weight were subject to analysis in 389 female and male mice derived from reciprocal F1 and F2 mating of strains C57BL6/By and NZB/BlNJ . These traits were mapped via QTL analysis. In total 36 traits were mapped to chromosomes of which a number reached a threshold LOD score of 3.13 and were thus concidered significant. One such QTL, Cliff aversion (Cliff) mapped with mouse Chromosome 15 marker D15Mit13 with a LOD score of 3.61. NZB/BlNJ-derived alleles confer earlier cliff drop aversion response with dominant inheritance.
