F2-intercross pedigree analysis of progeny from crosses between a single male of the outbred mouse line DU6 (selected for high body weight) and a DUKs female (a randomly mated control line) was used to map quantitative trait loci (QTLs). A QTL associated with liver weight, Lwq3, was placed at 7 cM on mouse Chromosome 10.
