Parent Cell Line:  E14TG2a (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA genomic fragment containing exon 1 and part of intron 1 was replaced with a neomycin selection cassette. The deleted sequences encode 237 amino acids from the N-terminal region of the corresponding protein. Western blot analysis on kidney membranes derived from homozygous mice demonstrated that no detectable protein is produced from this allele. (J:74420)
