description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA 6 kb genomic fragment containing part of exon 1 through exon 18 was replaced with a promoterless lacZ gene linked to a neomycin selection cassette. Northern blot analysis on liver RNA derived from homozygous mice demonstrated that no detectable transcript was produced from this allele. Activity assays on serum derived from homozygous mice confirmed that no functional protein was made. (J:45297)
