Mutation details: This allele is a derivative of Inpp5btm2Nbm in which Cre-mediated recombination in vivo under control of an EIIa promoter excised both the neomycin resistance cassette and exon 15 in the germline. Northern blot analysis using a 3' UTR probe did not detect either transcript in testis from homozygous mutant mice. RT-PCR analysis of testis with primers flanking exon 15 detected a deletion of 137 bp in the RNA transcribed by this allele.
