Mutation details: A neomycin selection cassette replaced 200 bp of the first exon, containing sequences encoding the signal peptide. Northern blot analysis on RNA derived from testis and cerebrum of homozygous mice confirmed that no detectable transcript was produced from this allele. Western blot analysis on extracts derived form testis and uterus of homozygous mice confirmed that no detectable protein is expressed from this allele.
