Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:43570
Parent Cell Line:  Other (see notes) (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S/SvEv
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA neomycin resistance cassette replaced a genomic fragment extending from the middle of exon 5 through exon 11. Western blot analysis on membrane and nuclear extracts of liver from homozygous mice demonstrated that a truncated protein was expressed from this allele that lacked the DNA-binding domains.
