Mutation details: The entire second exon, the coding portion of the third exon and the intervening intron were replaced with the analogous sequences from Nmyc1 gene. A loxP flanked neomycin selection cassette was removed by mating mice carrying this allele to mice expressing Cre recombinase under the control of an EIIa promoter. Northern blot analysis confirmed the expression of a fusion transcript under the control of the endogenous promoter.
