Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:32799
Parent Cell Line:  E14 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsThe insertion of neomycin selection cassette deleted a 0.72-kb region including portions of exon 7 and exon 8 and encoding the entire transmembrane domain (amino acids 270 through 326). Staining of bone marrow cells isolated from homozygous mutant mice determined an absence of protein surface expression. Immunohistochemical staining and Western blot analysis confirmed a lack of protein in the lymph nodes of homozygous mutant mice. (J:32799)
