Mutation details: Mice possessing the Ccr9tm1Mal allele were bred with mice ubiquitously expressing cre-recombinase to generate a locus that lacked exon 3 and the inserted floxed neomycin resistance gene cassette. Both an RT-PCR analysis and an RNase protection assay showed a lack of transcript in homozygous mutant thymus tissue.
