Mutation details: Exon 4 was replaced by a neomycin cassette via homologous recombination. The deleted region encodes the third and fourth cysteine residues in the first repeat of the conserved motif of cytokine receptors. FACS analysis of bone marrow cells isolated from homozygous mutant mice showed a lack of a functional receptor. Additional FACS analysis showed that expression of the homologous protein, Csf3rb2, was intact.
