Mutation details: Exon 4 was replaced with a neomycin cassette via homologous recombination. The deleted region encodes the third and fourth cysteine residues in the first repeat of the conserved motif of cytokine receptors. The encoded protein was undetected by Western blot analysis of extracts from mast-cells isolated from homozygous mutant mice. FACS analysis showed that the homologous protein, Csf2rb1, was expressed.
