Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsThe insertion of a neomycin cassette deleted portions of exon 3 and 4. Northern blot analysis showed the presence of a larger transcript, containing the neomycin gene, in homozygous mutant mice. A lack of Ireb2 protein and normal levels of Ireb1 was determined by Western blot analysis of fibroblast lysates derived from homozygous mutant mice. (J:67313)
