Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsThe exon encoding amino acids 362-424 was disrupted by the insertion of a neomycin selection cassette. Western blot analysis of kidney tissue, using an antibody raised against the extracellular domain, showed an absence of encoded protein in homozygous mutant mice. The protein was also shown to be absent in lung tissue via immunohistochemical analysis. (J:38838)
