Mutation detailsCd1d1 and Cd1d2 are adjacent loci that are arranged tail-to-tail, enabling the deletion of exons 4 through 6 from both loci with the insertion of a single neomycin selection cassette. RT-PCR analysis showed an absence of transcript in all tissues tested from homozygous mutant mice. A lack of protein surface expression was determined by immunofluorescence of thymocytes and splenocytes from homozygous mutant animals. (J:39749)
