Mutation details: Animals heterozygous for Tbptm1Ees were crossed to a cre-expressing line to facilitate excision of the neomycin resistance cassette. The resulting chimeric protein is composed of amino acids 1-24 followed by 2 tandem repeats of the FLAG tag and the entire C-terminus (amino acids 136-316). RNase protection assay and Western blot analysis confirmed that gene expression and steady-state accumulation of the protein in homozygous mutant animals is similar to that of the wild-type protein.
