Mutation
origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:77893
Parent Cell Line:  TT2 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  (C57BL/6NCrlj x CBA/JNCrlj)F1
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsThe gene was disrupted by replacement of exon 1 with a neomycin resistance cassette via homologous recombination. Absence of gene expression in homozygous mutant animals was confirmed by RT-PCR analysis. Western blot using polyclonal antibodies directed against amino acids 343-370 did not detect protein product in homozygous mutants. (J:77893)
