origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:78232
Parent Cell Line:  W9.5/W95 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S1/Sv-Oca2+ Tyr+ Kitl+
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA cassette containing nls-lacZ was inserted in frame into exon 2. While normal protein was undetected in homozygous mutant embryos at E13.5, approximately 5% of dorsal root ganglion neurons showed reactivity after E15. The authors believe the expression to be that of inactive protein lacking the activation domain. (J:78232)
