description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsThis allele, possessing sequence encoding enhanced green fluorescent protein in place of a portion of exon 1 encdoding the first 72 amino acids, was generated by breeding mice carrying Hoxa2tm2Fmr with mice expressing cre recombinase in the germline. Expression of EGFP detected in heterozygous mutant embryos followed the expression pattern of the endogenous gene. The deleted region corresponded to the region targeted in Hoxa2tm1Ipc. (J:75129)
