Notes |
Line 5 was derived from founder H-5, and carries 8 copies of the transgene. Other founders produced were H-2, H-8, and H-4, carrying 110, 70, and 10 copies of the transgene, respectively. The level of transgene expression was found to be directly correlated to the transgene copy number.
Homozygous transgenic mice are viable and fertile. They have impaired learning and electrophysiological disturbances in the hippocampus. |
