Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Hypomorph, Modified regulatory region)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsThe floxed puromycin selection cassette was removed from Pou3f1tm2Mejr by in vivo cre mediated excision, producing a hypomorphic allele lacking the 4.3 kb Schwann cell specific enhancer element. While protein was undetected by immunohistochemical analysis of Schwann cell nuclei isolated from homozygous mutant mice, low levels were detected by Western blot analysis. Protein expression was unaffected in the brainstem. (J:78939)
