Parent Cell Line:  DBA-252 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  DBA/1LacJ
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation details671 bp of coding sequence were replaced by the insertion of a neomycin selection cassette into exon 2. Transcript was undetected in liver, uterus, and kidney tissue by RT-PCR analysis and in situ hybridization of kidney tissue. Western blot analysis of Prkcl1 protein expression indicated that the targeting vector did not significantly disrupt the the Prkcl1 locus, which putatively overlaps the Ptger1 locus. (J:79387)
