Insertion of gene trap vector
Mutation details: A gene trap vector containing a phleomycin resistance gene (ble) and lacZ randomly inserted into the endogenous locus, creating the TL15 mutant ES cell line. RT-PCR analyses indicated that the insertion disrupted transcription of the nervous system predominant transcript, while transcription of the testis-specific transcript was largely unaffected.
