description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Myh6-ADRBK1)12Wjk expresses 1 gene

Tg(Myh6-ADRBK1)12Wjk expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsThe entire bovine adrenergic receptor kinase, beta 1 (ADRBK1) coding region was ligated to a 5.5 kb fragment of the murine adult myosin, heavy polypeptide 6, cardiac muscle, alpha (Myh6) promoter. Overexpression of the transgenic protein was detected by Western blot analysis of heart extracts. Biochemical assays showed that kinase activity was approximately 3 times greater in heart extracts from transgenic mice than from wild-type mice. The Myh6 promoter drives expression in myocardial tissue. (J:37034)
