description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Myh6-ADRBK1)27Wjk expresses 1 gene

Tg(Myh6-ADRBK1)27Wjk expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsSequence encoding the carboxyl terminus of the bovine adrenergic receptor kinase, beta 1 (ADRBK1) (residues 495 through 689) was ligated to a 5.5 kb fragment of the murine adult myosin, heavy polypeptide 6, cardiac muscle, alpha (Myh6) promoter. The resultant 194 residue carboxyl terminal peptide was detected by Western blot analysis and inhibits endogenous beta-adrenergic receptor kinase-1 by blocking beta-adrenergic receptor desensitization. The Myh6 promoter drives expression in myocardial tissue. (J:37034)
