Analysis of 143 male (CAST/Ei x C57BL/6J)F2 mice indicates that a QTL (Dob9) affecting dietary obesity is located on Chromosome 15 between D15Mit9 and D15Mit22 with peak LOD scores of 4.3, 3.1, and 3.7 for mesenteric adipose depot weight, average epididymal adipose depot weight, and body weight respectively. Authors further state that Dob9 maps very close to Dob3 in the SWR/J x AKR/J cross and Mob4 in BSB mice.
