Mapping and Phenotype information for this QTL, its variants and associated markers

J:58187

Loci associated with emotionality on mouse chromosome 1 and mouse Chromosome 15 were further investigated using haplotype analysis with selected inbred DeFries strains H1, H2, L1, L2, C1, and C2 (H = high activity, L = low activity, C = control). Also, QTL analysis was performed using 71 (H1 X C1)F2 intercross animals. Animals were evaluated using open field activity (OFA) and open field defecation (OFD) tests as a measure of emotionality. Emotionality QTLs Emo1 and Emo2 were confirmed and localized to mouse Chromosome 1 between D1Mit452 and D1Mit361 (P = 0.0006 at approximately 73.9 cM - 87.0 cM) and mouse Chromosome 15 between D15Mit105 and D15Mit68 (P = 0.0038 at approximately 44.1 cM - 47.9 cM).
