Mapping and Phenotype information for this QTL, its variants and associated markersJ:66472The fusion of roots of the molar teeth in the lower jaw results in a morphological feature called gutter shaped root (Gusr). The genetic basis for this trait is not determined. C57L/J mice have a Gusr incidence of 96% while C57BL/6J have normal roots. Authors genotyped 66 animals of a [(C57L/J x C57BL/6J)F1 x C57BL/6J] backcross and found the highest linkage of the trait to D17Mit260. |
