Parent Cell Line:  E14TG2a (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsThe insertion of a PGK-neo cassette into exon 2 disrupted sequence encoding the third transmembrane domain. Though Northern blot analysis identified several aberrant transcripts in homozygous mutant mice, no normal transcript was detected. Binding assays using a labeled thromboxane agonist indicated an absence of functional receptors in both thymocytes and renal sections obtained from homozygous mutant mice. (J:52125)
