Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsThe floxed hygromycin gene that replaced the first coding exon was excised from Cer1tm1Rph via in vivo cre mediated recombination. The inserted lacZ gene remained in place of sequence encoding the initiator methionine, signal sequence, prosequence, and the first cysteine of the cystine knot. The expression pattern of lacZ was similar to that of the endogenous gene. (J:62081)
