Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:70658
Parent Cell Line:  J1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S4/SvJae
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA 98 bp exon within the AT-rich interaction domain (ARID) was replaced with a neomycin selection cassette inserted by homologous recombination. RT-PCR of RNA obtained from primary embryonic fibroblasts confirmed the removal of the targeted exon. Sequence analysis identified a resultant frameshift mutation. (J:70658)
