Mutation details: A 98 bp exon within the AT-rich interaction domain (ARID) was replaced with a neomycin selection cassette inserted by homologous recombination. RT-PCR of RNA obtained from primary embryonic fibroblasts confirmed the removal of the targeted exon. Sequence analysis identified a resultant frameshift mutation.
